Mrs. Jennifer Harper currently teaches in the 4th Grade. She began teaching at Cavendish Town Elementary School in 1991. She graduated from Castleton State College in 1989 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and 7th through 12th Grade Science. She received her Masters in Education with a specialty in K-6 Mathematics from the University of Vermont in the Spring of 2003. In addition to her full time teaching position, Mrs. Harper also works as a mathematics network leader for the State of Vermont instructing other elementary educators on how to best teach problem solving. In March 2003, Mrs. Harper received the prestigous "Presidential Award of Excellence for Mathematics and Science Teaching" for the state of Vermont at an award ceremony in Washington, DC. Her interests include: camping, hiking, riding her motorcycle, traveling, swimming, pets, and trying new foods. She currently resides in Ludlow, Vermont with her husband and daughters, Madeline and Jordan.
